NAC Forte

NAC Forte is a glutathione precursor supporting healthy respiratory, cellular, brain, and neuronal tissues.*

NAC is an amino acid, a precursor to glutathione – the body's most potent antioxidant. It replenishes intracellular levels of the natural antioxidant glutathione (GSH), helping to restore cells’ ability to fight damage from reactive oxygen species (ROS).

NAC may neutralize toxins and pollutants, including heavy metals that accumulate in the liver, kidneys, and fatty body parts (think Lipo-Tox). Interestingly, 80% of the glutathione produced in the liver is transported to the bloodstream to be used by the kidneys for detoxification. 

NAC’s ability to replenish intracellular glutathione and reduce free radical damage may provide significant protection against DNA damage (think PRP53 Code Liposome) and may nutritionally help reduce cancer development. Much of NAC’s beneficial activity derives from its capacity to modulate the expression of genes for myriad signaling molecules in the inflammatory response. NAC may inhibit the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines following exposure to bacterial cell components and infection with influenza A virus.

NAC suppresses nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-kB), preventing the activation of multiple inflammatory mediators. NAC also regulates the gene for COX-2, the enzyme that produces pain in various chronic conditions, and regulates the expression of scores of genes in the pathways that link oxidative stress to inflammation.
